President Obama Won’t Talk Climate Change in Copenhagen

Did he have a change of heart? That just sounds weird that Obama won’t talk climate change. Not to worry:

From Ace of Spades HQ>>>>

Fortunately, plans for global wealth redistribution (enrobed in phony environmentalism) are foundering on the objections of India and China. So it looks like there won’t be anything for Obama to sign, anyway.

Apparently, the Indians and Chinese recognize the direct connection between carbon emissions and standard of living. Having had more recent experience in that condition, they understand how living in a less-industrialized state is major suckage and misery. Not some Rousseauian fantasy that persists among the Birkenstocked crowd.

We dodged the bullet this time America thanks to India and China. This gives us more time. Thank you Lord Monckton for waking us up!

According to an article published yesterday, Oct 20, 2009 in the Telegraph.uk

American spies are investing in technology designed to monitor websites including blogs, Twitter, YouTube and even reading habits on Amazon.

According to Wired magazine, In-Q-Tel has put money into Visible Technologies, a software firm that specialises in monitoring the internet.

According to the Telegraph.uk article, In-Q-Tel is the investment arm of the CIA, set up by the US Government in 1999. The software company Visible Technologies already monitors information for companies such as Microsoft, Hormel Foods and Xerox to determine whether what is being said about their products is positive, negative, mixed or neutral.

The Telegraph article surmises that this technology could be used for national security to monitor terrorist communications.

“Anything that is out in the open is fair game for collection,” said Steven Aftergood, of the Federation of American Scientists.

He added, however, that it would be “problematic” if information was used for unauthorised domestic investigations.

“Intelligence agencies or employees might be tempted to use the tools at their disposal to compile information on political figures, critics, journalists or others, and to exploit such information for political advantage. That is not permissible even if all of the information in question is technically ‘open source.'”

How likely would it be for our government to compile information on “political figures, critics, or  journalists…” to be used for “political advantage”? Surely not….

purple shirtsRemember this?>>> Oct 5th story from our blog?

News from Michelle Malkin>>> yesterday’s blog:

“SEIU-endorsed Gov. Pat Quinn signed an executive order in June approving collective bargaining by “individual providers of home-based support services” — effectively busting open the doors of private homes for the Purple Shirts of the SEIU and other union competitors hungry for new dues-paying members. SEIU and its minions leaned hard on providers to join — even sending out-of-state workers to intrude on families with the promise of juicy benefits and health care coverage. Democrat officials tried to intimidate parents like Pam Harris into silence over their efforts to inform providers that they could vote for no representation.

The thuggery backfired. Bigtime.”

See this article from CBS Channel 2 Chicago>>>

Thanks to the efforts of the families caring for disabled family members in their homes, this attempt did not stand:

This from Michelle Malkin’s Oct 5th post:

“Pam Harris of Western Springs, Illinois, the mother of a 20-year-old son with severe developmental disabilities who receives in-home care stipends, questioned the state’s failure to make a no-representation option clear. She and other parents dared to criticize the union effort publicly in a piece published September 3 in the Chicago Tribune. (”I am not an employee of the state,” Harris said. “I work from my home. I don’t want the union in my home. I can Norma Rae with the rest of them.”) Harris and other parents scraped together their own money (no match for Big Labor coffers) and put together an informational flyer to counter-balance the pro-union propaganda and inform home-based providers that they could opt for no union representation.”

Way to Go Pam Harris of Illinois!!

Update 10/24/2009 Since the treaty mentioned in this post will NOT be signed this year (see today’s post) we now have time to take planned action. Here are suggestions from the website GlobalClimateScam.com:

Ten Things You Can Do

boy-flagThe most common question we get from people is “what can I do to make a difference?”  Here’s a list of ten things you can do to promote the cause of freedom.

1. Use this website to get educated on the evidence against global warming.

2. Post a copy of the Lord Monckton video on your social networking page.

3. Send an email to your friends asking them to sign the petition at www.NoCapAndTrade.com.

4. Print copies of our “Five Facts About Global Warming Flyer” and distribute them in your neighborhood.

5. Order a copy of the movie “Not Evil Just Wrong”. Invite your neighbors over to watch and discuss the movie.

6. Schedule a visit with your members of Congress. If you can’t physically meet with them, the next best thing is to make a phone call. Emails are the least effective method of communication.

7. Write a letter to the editor of your local newspaper.

8. Put a GlobalClimateScam bumper sticker on your car.

9. Create a list of like-minded individuals and keep them updated with emails about the issue.

10. Make a donation to help us promote the cause for freedom.

From Global Climate Scam.com:

On October 14, Lord Christopher Monckton, a noted climate change skeptic, gave a presentation at Bethel University in St. Paul, MN. In this 4-minute excerpt from his speech, he issues a dire warning to all Americans regarding the United Nations Climate Change Treaty, scheduled to be signed in Copenhagen in December 2009. (this link takes a while to load)

The above video is a 4 minute excerpt from Lord Monckton’s 95 minute presentation.

The video below is the entire 95+ minute presentation:

Great Is Truth, and Mighty Above All Things – keynote address to the 2009 International Conference on Climate Change.

The clock is ticking, Fellow Americans. We must try with all our strength and abilities to stop this treaty from being signed by our President. If we cannot stop it, we stand to lose our freedoms and the future freedoms of our children. If this treaty is signed, we will lose our Free Republic to Communism and America will never be the same. Tell your family, your friends and neighbors. Sound the alarm before it is too late. We have 54 days to stop this. Contact your Senators and Representatives.

A former kindergarten student has been fighting a legal battle for 10 years after his teacher and principal censored his art project because it included a figure of Jesus.

The boy’s poster was displayed for part of one day on a cafeteria wall, just like 80 other student posters, with one exception – his drawing was folded in half to conceal Jesus.

Why is this story important? Because this child’s Constitutional rights are being denied. There is no “separation of Church and state” in the US Constitution. Here is the First Amendment as it is written:

Amendment I

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
