van jonesRemember Van Jones,  the avowed Marxist whom Obama named as the green jobs czar? And who later resigned after being outed by Glenn Beck?  According to Newsbusters, Jones is now affiliated with a group called Stop the Witch Hunt.org,

“a new left-wing organization created specifically to attack Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Lou Dobbs, Pat Buchanan, and Paul Brown…”

Stop the witch hunt

As has been the case with other socialist-marxist connections, there is also in this case an intricate web of organizations with varying, sometimes changing, names.

A press release issued by Reuters on Thursday Oct 29th, 2009, announced the new organization:

StopTheWitchHunt.org is

a newly formed multimedia watch dog portal that will use social media and

mobile communications to take a grassroots stand and “call out” the

mischaracterizations and hate speech that has been going on for too long.

Newsbusters investigated and found that there is a labyrinth of connections between Stop the Witch Hunt.org and the former “green jobs czar”, Van Jones. Read the details here>>>

According to an article published yesterday, Oct 20, 2009 in the Telegraph.uk

American spies are investing in technology designed to monitor websites including blogs, Twitter, YouTube and even reading habits on Amazon.

According to Wired magazine, In-Q-Tel has put money into Visible Technologies, a software firm that specialises in monitoring the internet.

According to the Telegraph.uk article, In-Q-Tel is the investment arm of the CIA, set up by the US Government in 1999. The software company Visible Technologies already monitors information for companies such as Microsoft, Hormel Foods and Xerox to determine whether what is being said about their products is positive, negative, mixed or neutral.

The Telegraph article surmises that this technology could be used for national security to monitor terrorist communications.

“Anything that is out in the open is fair game for collection,” said Steven Aftergood, of the Federation of American Scientists.

He added, however, that it would be “problematic” if information was used for unauthorised domestic investigations.

“Intelligence agencies or employees might be tempted to use the tools at their disposal to compile information on political figures, critics, journalists or others, and to exploit such information for political advantage. That is not permissible even if all of the information in question is technically ‘open source.'”

How likely would it be for our government to compile information on “political figures, critics, or  journalists…” to be used for “political advantage”? Surely not….

A former kindergarten student has been fighting a legal battle for 10 years after his teacher and principal censored his art project because it included a figure of Jesus.

The boy’s poster was displayed for part of one day on a cafeteria wall, just like 80 other student posters, with one exception – his drawing was folded in half to conceal Jesus.

Why is this story important? Because this child’s Constitutional rights are being denied. There is no “separation of Church and state” in the US Constitution. Here is the First Amendment as it is written:

Amendment I

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

And from The Muffled Oar

One shivers at the thought of a team of Department of Justice Bloggers anonymously trolling the web to spin the message of a President. It is particularly terrifying when those same anonymous government employees at the Department attack media outlets and newspapers anonymously. How much longer before the Blog Squad operates in the open to intimidate political opponents and critics?
